Delicious and Delightful Festival, Dalby

Each year in August, Dalby opens its arms to welcome the Delicious and Delightful Festival, a multicultural event celebrating food and lights in George Anderson Park. The festival features plenty of colour, dancing, live music and entertainment. Highlights include a spectacular lantern parade along the banks of beautiful Myall Creek. The Western Downs is one of Australia’s largest primary producers and is known for high-grade beef, pork, lamb, watermelon, cotton, sorghum, chickpeas, mung beans, wheat and barley. They go wild with local produce at the festival with creative ice creams like chickpea and fig, or mungbean and white chocolate ice cream. Situated on the Myall Creek Flood Plain, Dalby is the gateway to the Western Downs. It is just over an hour’s drive from Toowoomba and two hours and 30 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD.
