Ghost Gully Produce’s Salad Shed is a giant-sized roadside fresh veggie stall in Gatton. It’s the perfect place to stock up on pesticide-free, hand-picked, packed leaves, herbs and flowers. Plus, you never know what else, like their amazing pesto, you might find in the Salad Shed fridge. Family-owned and operated by Kym and Gary Samuelson, Ghost Gully is a hydroponic lettuce and herb farm in the heart of the Lockyer Valley. The shed is open every day and operates on an honesty system. You can either pre-order your produce and collect from the shed or purchase it directly from the fridge. Gatton is an easy 1 hour and a 20-minute drive west of Brisbane in the Lockyer Valley. If you’re coming from Toowoomba, try taking Gatton-Helidon Road, which is the old highway and stop at the Floating Cafe, which floated down the flooding creek in the 2011 floods.
Guru Tip
All the salad lines here are washed in ozone-treated water, which promotes longer shelf-life and leaves no residue.
