Therese and Robert Fenwick’s Heritage Estate winery has two vineyards, two altitudes and two soil profiles and achieved 5 Red Star Winery status from James Halliday from 2016 to 2021. Dining here is unique with a seat available at a large table from Queensland’s Parliament house dated c1860. Heritage Estate’s Vine + Dine Journey Lunch from Thursday to Monday includes a walk and talk through the vineyards, a sommelier wine discussion and a five-dish and matched wine experience. Mezze platters or A’la Carte lunch is available Friday to Monday. Every Friday, there is a Poets Progressive Dinner which starts in the vineyard, moves to the cellar door and finishes with dessert in the barrel room. On the second Saturday of each month, the winery holds a Five senses Degustation Black Tie Dinner. Heritage Estate is 17 kilometres north of Stanthorpe at Cottonvale.
Guru Tip
Extend your experience with a stay at The Cottage. Built circa 1864, it has a fireplace and claw-foot bath making it perfect for a couple. There’s also a Vintners Eco Retreat, which is fully off-grid with two king bedrooms suitable for groups of up to four people.
Insta Moment
Heritage Estate’s elegant cellar door is full of attractive antique furniture and objects.
