Robert Channon Wines, Stanthorpe

Well known for their outstanding Verdelho, Robert Channon Wines are estate grown and made at Amiens, just outside Stanthorpe. Robert and Peggy Channon have been making wine since 1998 at the winery, which is blessed with amazing soil, high elevation and a good water supply. The cellar door is open from Friday to Tuesday, while the winery’s Persian Poppy Café is open from Saturday to Tuesday. The café has a Middle Eastern menu with indoor/outdoor dining overlooking the vineyards and lake. With plenty of outdoor space and miniature horses to entertain the children, this is both a child and dog-friendly winery.
