The Truffle Discovery Centre, The Summit - Discovering truffles

Located at The Summit on the Granite Belt, The Truffle Discovery Centre focuses on everything about truffles with talks, information, products and tastings, a gourmet product range and interactive exhibits. Entry to the centre is free, and you can buy frozen truffles all year round and fresh truffles during winter there. Talk with the grower and find out how truffles grow, what makes them so expensive and how truffle dogs are trained to sniff them out. There is a variety of truffle products, including truffle-infused oils, honey, salts, mustard, mayo, aioli, salsas, butter, brie and balsamic to taste and buy. Take some truffles home and experiment with your cooking. The Summit is 2.5 hours drive from Brisbane’s CBD via Cunningham’s Gap and Warwick. There’s a more scenic route through the Lockyer Valley that takes three hours.
